About Me

Nice to meet you! I’m Millie Olivera, a communications professional, photographer and founder of Olivera & Co. My background is rooted in advertising and public relations, and over the years my work has naturally expanded into content, social media, photography and events.

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Public Relations and a minor in English – Creative Writing. During college, I discovered how much I enjoyed brand storytelling through internships in marketing and public relations, including experiences with Savanna Real Estate Fund and Rubenstein Public Relations.

After graduation, I joined Qualfon, where I created external communications including press releases, blogs, social media content and written content for the Mission Qualfon Podcast. A few years later, I decided to try something completely new and started my own Etsy business, creating and selling embroidered goods, gifts and accessories. Building a business from the ground up gave me a new perspective on branding, from developing a visual identity and messaging to marketing products and connecting with customers.

Since then, I’ve continued to build on those experiences through my work with What2WearWhere and Mashomack Polo Club. Today, my work ranges from copywriting and content creation to social media management, photography, communications and event planning. I enjoy that no two projects look exactly the same and that I’m able to bring different parts of my background to each one.
